1W power amp with loadbox for silent recording

Hello, i thinking about making silient recording kit, thats mean 1W or a little more pa with a RLC type loadbox and speaker sim.

That idea have been used in cream machine preamp from H&K and it sound realy good when recording direct to pc input.

The idea is to build something like that for use with diffrent preamps, because i use rack system for playing.

I thinking about make firefly power amp, maby someone have other sugestions on the power amp to use?

Another one way is to use small JFET amplifier loadet on transformer

You can try to use transformer from old battery powered trnsistor radio.

i want to make the poweramp, not intrested in fet because they will dont give me the true tube sound, i will use that with the all tube pre so using it with the fet is nonsens in my opinion...

PS About JFETs you not so right, they has curves similar to pentodes so in "power" stage they work similar.

hmm i build 3 fets effects, nothing sound like tube, tube is tube The silent recording is not so easy to do for guitar to sound like on normal speaker. That's a little sad but i will fight to make it so close as i can, will tray to build rlc loadbox. RLC sound better then the regular resistor loadbox. If someone want to know something about RLC:

I told you not about preamps/effects, only about "power" stage.

Tube preamp emulation has some tricks to do.

KMG maby you have right, but i can't get this kind transisors in poland that was used in all that constructions. Maby you know any replace transisors for them?
